You Are Who God Said You Are!

I KNOW I Am Who God Says I Am!
Ephesians 2:10 KJV “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
For years I had a desire to do great things. I mean I wanted to be an attorney and fight for the underserved. I wanted to decorate homes beautifully. I wanted to be a nurse after my mother passed away and care for those who could not care for themselves. And, I’ve always wanted to own my own business. However, because I did not finish high school, I felt I was not smart enough. Imagine staying in the background because you believed you couldn’t do any of the things you dreamt of or desired. Imagine having a burning desire to do more and be more but battled with feelings of being stuck and bound by self-perceived inadequacies.
Have you ever felt stuck or bound and just wanted to break free? Do you feel like there’s more to your life, but you just don’t know how to acquire it or how to even begin? Do you feel like you’ve been or you’re living someone else’s life, like you’re walking in a pair of shoes that do not belong to you? Do you battle with who you are, verses what you yearn for? If so, don’t worry. So, did I. Initially, I found it very challenging to break free of the many shackles that had me bound. They were shackles of fear, doubt, unbelief, inadequacy, guilt, shame, and a lack of knowledge of how to go after my dreams or pursue my passion. Then I made the decision I was finally going to break free by doing one simple thing… believe! Yes, I made up my mind to simply believe! I was determined to believe I was who God said I was. He said I was His beloved daughter. That I was the apple of His eye. That I was made in His image. That He predestined me before He placed me in my mother’s womb!
For years I had believed everything everyone else said about me and was living my life based on people’s interpretation of me. I now wanted to see what believing in God said about me would accomplish in my life. After all, it could not be any worse than what I was experiencing. So, I became determine to never believe anything other than what God said about me. Daily, I remind myself that I am, that I am who God said I am, and I am determined to walk in that truth no matter what! Remember, you ARE who God said you are and the only person who can deny that truth is you.
Father, thank you for making me in your image. Thank you for creating me for purpose, a purpose that was predestined before you placed me in my mother’s womb. Thank you for seeing me as the apple of your eye. Thank you for creating me fearfully and wonderfully so. Thank you for giving me a wealth of gifts and talents to use for your glory. Thank you reminding me daily of your unfailing and faithful love towards me. In Jesus Name. Amen.
